Azalea

Azaleas

Azaleas, a Rhododendron subgenus, are one of the most important garden collections, widespread by the thousands, with dozens of different species or cultivars.

Azaleas can be either evergreen or deciduous. In spring, the flowers explode in colors ranging from white, to pink, red, or magenta.

Two large nurseries set up in 1980 have been completely replanted, at the end of 2006, to let the shrubs the room and the light they need to grow.

A winding path has been landscaped to take the visitor through the Azaleas down to the lake shore.
