Cornus

Flowers

There are quite a few flowerings you can enjoy, beside Azaleas.

Along the lake shore, a row of Japanese Cherries, (Prunus avium florepleno), leaves a pink carpet of petals on the ground, at the end of the spring bloom.

Close to the Azaleas' path, the Lagerstroemia indica, a deciduous ornamental tree with barkless, sinewy-looking fluted, stems, flowers from July to September.

The Magnolia genus is represented by both the evergreen grandiflora (late spring) and the deciduous cultivar x soulangeana, (spring).

Typical of Lake Maggiore, there are also some Camellia japonica (spring) and Camellia sasanqua (winter) specimens.

There are also a few Cornus florida and Prunus that will blossom in spring. In summer, you will enjoy Oleanders (Nerium oleander) and Hortensias.
